Addiction Treatment Center in Spain
Our approach to recovery recognises that addiction is a progressive illness. It also recognises the enormous impact it can have on those around you – including family and friends. This is why, in addition to treating both the causes and the symptoms of addiction, we also specialise in early intervention and family therapy. A holistic approach in every sense.
Central to addiction treatment at Camino Recovery is group therapy combined with a 12-step recovery programme. This combination is statistically the most successful treatment available. It helps us to cover a variety of issues more effectively, so you can focus on what matters. It gives you an opportunity to build a support network that can sustain your recovery and it enables a variety of other therapies to be incorporated into your treatment depending on your needs (see Specialist Support below).
The atmosphere at Camino Recovery has been brilliant. So warm and loving that I feel sad to leave.
Because addiction is often coupled with other problems such as trauma, depression and anxiety we offer a range of additional therapies including:
- Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR)
- Equine assisted psychotherapy (EAP)
- Family therapy
- Cognitive behavioural therapy.

Do I need help?
Your journey to recovery begins the moment you accept you have a problem. Maybe a close friend has expressed concern about your welfare. Perhaps you’ve had to miss work because of drugs or alcohol. Or maybe your addiction is your way of coping with everyday stress.
Whatever the signs, and they may be unique to you, we promise to help you find a solution. We will help you through the first vital steps of your recovery and provide the ongoing support you need for a better future.
Many people who have an addiction have experienced a traumatic episode in their life. Often this has never been addressed, other than through the use drugs or alcohol for example to try to cope with it. But this never works. Ultimately it makes the situation worse. As your addiction takes hold, what follows is a complete loss of self-worth, a breakdown in trust and the inevitable social isolation that follows as both you and your family are drawn into the vortex. But there is a way out.
There are really no words that can express the gratitude I have to you all. I have the courage and wisdom to accept that problems are never as big as they used to appear.
