Camino is a family business borne out of family experiences. Having worked with both individuals and in prestigious centres around the world predominantly in Europe, the U.S. and the Middle East we felt that the primary purpose of treatment centres was being lost. Believing that an experienced team offering diverse and varied treatment approaches was essential, Camino was established in 2008. It remains a small bespoke and empathetic treatment centre motivated solely to healing the unnecessary suffering caused by abuse, destructive compulsive behaviour and emotions.
CAMINO RECOVERY, SPAIN
Established in 2008
Treating Addiction, Changing Lives
I wanted to create an environment where people can come to heal. By providing a retreat that offers an escape from the stress of everyday living.
Here our clients can look at their lives, their thinking and behaviour, in order to assess what is working for them and what is not.
Our aim is to free our clients from the restraints of their past trauma to become the best that they can be. Our greatest joy is to see people leave Camino and flourish with the new tools they have gained.
WHERE IS CAMINO RECOVERY?
In 2017 an opportunity arose for Camino to relocate to Vélez-Málaga.
Surrounded by lush avocado and mango groves, the new premises provides an improved level of comfort and luxury, with equine facilities on site. Located 30 minutes east of Malaga, Camino provides a high level of seclusion and unparalleled authenticity. The subtropical climate means that mild temperatures can be relied upon throughout the year, all contributing to an environment that allows you to disconnect, relax and recover.
OUR EXPERTISE IS AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE
Our facilities are fully wheelchair accessible allowing all to take advantage of the luxurious swimming pool and surroundings.
We are used to dealing with a diverse spectrum of social backgrounds, religions and ethnicities and will always accommodate the special dietary or cultural needs of the individual.
Our clinicians are fully trained in working with the consequences of prejudices prevalent within our global society. They are experienced in working with the complex issues arising from the impact of such prejudices and those against minority groups such as the LGBT community.
At Camino you are never a number. Our clinical team creates bespoke programmes for each client.
